WWII John was in action in France, Belgium and Germany with the 319th Infantry Regiment 3rd Army.  He was killed in the Battle of the Bulge and is buried in Henri Chapel American cemetery in Belgium.  John attended St. Philip Grade School and lived on Greenwood Avenue in Fairywood.
